Erwin Sattler - Lunaris
The Erwin Sattler manufactory enriches its collection of high-quality table clocks with the new Lunaris model.
This new product development represents a perfect symbiosis of movement and case, the result being a case that also takes on the supporting weight of the movement. Thanks to the clever and elaborately produced design, the dial and movement seem to float within the case.
The progressively themed, non-compromising design is mirrored in the use of materials: the frameless table clock case comprises only a ground glass case held together by polished, nickel-plated brass components.
Caliber 2004 is new in Erwin Sattler’s collection. Naturally, all its gear wheels are gold-plated; the pinions and stems are hardened; and all ball bearings are crafted in stainless steel. The gear stopwork, which is in charge of keeping the movement as close to constant force as possible, is one of the elements among the exclusive standard equipment.
The en passant chime found here is the first that Erwin Sattler has utilized in its history. The observer and the listener can see and hear the signal for each full hour, indicated by one simple chime of a bell.
The silver-plated brass dial offers not only a dignified background for the hand-blued steel hands, but leaves enough space in the lower part of the dial for a cutaway for a hand-painted moon phase display.
Such a holistic concept also includes user friendliness: the winding and setting of the hands and moon phase display as well as the fine adjustment of the eight-day clock takes place on the back.
